Dr. Camil Staps is a researcher in the research area 4 'Semantics & Pragmatics'. He headed the project Demonstrating the polysemy of demonstratives, funded by the NWO.
Camil Staps is interested in how abstract concepts like causation and evidentiality are represented in the mind. In particular, he studies the relation between spatial and non-spatial meanings of prepositions, demonstratives, and other function words.
